You will arrive at Vienna airport and our driver will take you to your hotel. In the evening, you will meet your travel companions at a traditional Austrian welcome dinner at the renowned Marchfelderhof restaurant. In this truly unique setting, you will quickly feel as if Empress Sissi were seated right next to you. Beverages are, of course, included.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will take a panoramic tour of the city, offering an excellent impression of Vienna’s many points of interest. We will visit the gardens of the historic Belvedere Palace, former summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy. Enjoy the magnificent view of the city, immortalized by Giovanni Antonio Canal in his paintings of Vienna. We will continue along Ringstrasse with its magnificent buildings such as the State Opera, the Museum of Fine Arts and Natural History, the Maria Theresa Monument, the Austrian Parliament, Vienna City Hall, the National Theatre, and the Hofburg, residence of the Federal President. We will stroll through the idyllic small streets of Vienna's historic center and visit the interior of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the largest in the city. We will also pass the Anchor Clock and the Jewish Quarter. The tour ends in the center, at Maria-Theresien-Platz. After the panoramic tour, you may choose to join a visit to Schönbrunn Palace (not included). In the afternoon, we offer you the possibility of attending a classical music concert (not included). After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the day free. If, after the impressions of the capital, you prefer nature, we recommend joining our excursion to the famous Wachau Valley, about 80 km from Vienna, home to one of the most beautiful stretches of the Danube (not included). For a perfect souvenir, the region is famous for its apricot-based products.
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Hungary. Enjoy the ride on our coach as we travel to Budapest, often called the 'Pearl of the Danube', arriving around lunchtime. In the afternoon, we will take a city tour. Budapest is divided into two parts: ‘Buda’, home to the historic center, embassies, and residences of high society, and ‘Pest’, where most hotels and shops are located. On this first day, we will visit Pest and Heroes' Square, where the Millennium Monument stands. Its pedestal holds statues of the seven conquerors and their leader Árpád. We will continue along Andrassy Avenue, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, passing the Hungarian State Opera, the House of Terror Museum, the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, and the Franz Liszt Memorial Museum. We will also visit the Hungarian Parliament building, an iconic monument on the banks of the Danube. Before continuing towards the market and pedestrian area, we will see one of the city's most beautiful buildings: St. Stephen’s Basilica. After the tour, we will return to the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will walk together through the castle district of ‘Buda’, home to two of the city's highlights: Matthias Church and Fisherman's Bastion, offering one of the most beautiful panoramic views. We will then continue to the Royal Palace and take a look at the various bridges connecting the two sides of the city. After the visit, you will have free time. For a culinary recommendation, try ‘goulash’. You won’t regret it!
After breakfast, we will continue our journey toward Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, with a brief stop in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, where you will have free time. Once in Prague, we will take you on an unforgettable sightseeing tour of the city's historic center. We will show you the most beautiful monuments and the oldest districts of Prague. Did you know? Prague is home to some of the best beers in the world. Cheers!
Enjoy a varied breakfast at the hotel and prepare for the city tour. The visit begins in the Hradčany Castle district with St. Vitus Cathedral and the Golden Lane. After strolling through the castle courtyards, we will visit the Lesser Town along Nerudova Street, with its beautiful old houses and symbols. We will pass St. Nicholas Church and reach Charles Bridge, one of the oldest bridges in Europe, connecting the Lesser Town with the Old Town. We will stroll along Karlova Street to the Old Town Square with its astronomical clock, the Gothic Church of Our Lady before Tyn, and the Jan Hus monument. We will finish in the New Town. Prague is also famous for its glass and porcelain art.
After breakfast, the day is entirely at your disposal. You may wish to rest and relax. For those interested in imperial-style relaxation, we offer an optional excursion to Karlovy Vary, the classic spa town of the former Austro-Hungarian monarchy (not included). Overnight in Prague.
After a final breakfast in Prague, we will take you to the airport, where we will say goodbye.
