Arrival at Copenhagen airport, transfer to the hotel and accommodation. The guide will be available at the hotel from 6:30 p.m.
Breakfast and panoramic visit of the city, exploring its main monuments and historical sites such as City Hall Square, Christiansborg Palace (seat of Parliament), the Gefion Fountain, the Nyhavn harbor with its colorful 17th-century houses, and the emblem of the city, the Little Mermaid. Optional visit to the majestic Frederiksborg Castle in northern Zealand. Free afternoon. Accommodation.
Breakfast and free morning until departure to the port to board the NORDIC cruise across the North Sea toward Oslo. Buffet dinner on board. Accommodation in an outside cabin with window.
Buffet breakfast on board and arrival in Oslo around 9:30 a.m. Disembarkation and panoramic visit of the Viking capital, located at the end of the Oslo fjord, passing City Hall, Akershus Castle, Royal Palace, Parliament and Vigeland Park with its famous bronze sculptures symbolizing the cycle of human life, including the great monolith with its 121 intertwined bodies. Free afternoon and accommodation.
Breakfast and departure to Lofthus. We travel through Hardangervidda National Park, the largest in Norway (3,422 km²). We cross the Hardanger Suspension Bridge, an impressive engineering project offering views of the Hardangerfjord, the third longest in the country. Continuation to Ullensvang Hotel in Lofthus, located in the heart of the Hardanger fjord landscape. Composer Edvard Grieg was a frequent guest of the hotel, where he found inspiration for many of his works. Scandinavian royalty and celebrities still visit the hotel to enjoy panoramic views of the majestic Folgefonna glacier rising over the blue fjord. Dinner and accommodation.
Breakfast and departure to Bergen. Arrival and tour of Bergen, one of Norway’s oldest cities, located on a promontory by the North Sea. Highlights include the Fortress, Hakonshallen, Bryggen (16th-century port area) and St. Mary’s Church. At the end of the tour, a funicular ride is included to enjoy spectacular views. Free afternoon and accommodation.
Breakfast and early departure to Lillehammer, traveling through forest landscapes to Gudvangen, where we board a ferry to navigate the Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway. Disembarkation in Aurland and continuation to Borgund’s medieval stave church, one of the best preserved and UNESCO-listed. Free time for photos. Then continue to Lillehammer, host of the Winter Olympics and one of the country’s best-known winter sports centers. Accommodation.
Breakfast and departure to Sweden, crossing beautiful fields and lakes until arriving in Stockholm. Accommodation.
Breakfast and panoramic tour of Stockholm, known as the “Queen of the Waters,” built on 14 islands. Visit to Gamla Stan, the old town, home to many iconic buildings and important architectural sites. Accommodation.
