In this truly unique atmosphere, you may quickly feel as if Empress Sissi were sitting right beside you at the table. Of course, drinks are also included.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will take a panoramic tour of the city, offering an excellent impression of Vienna’s many landmarks. We will visit the gardens of the historic Belvedere Palace, former summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy. Enjoy the magnificent view of the city immortalized by Giovanni Antonio Canal in his paintings. We will continue along the Ringstrasse with its wonderful buildings such as the State Opera, the Museum of Art and Natural History, the monument to Maria Theresa, the Austrian Parliament, Vienna City Hall, the National Theatre and the Hofburg, seat of the Federal President. We will stroll through the small idyllic streets of the historic center and visit the interior of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the largest in the city. We will also pass the Anchor Clock and the Jewish Quarter. The tour ends in the Maria-Theresien-Platz. After the panoramic visit, you may opt to join an additional visit to Schönbrunn Palace (not included). In the afternoon, we offer the possibility of attending a classical music concert (not included).
After breakfast at the reserved hotel, you will have the day free. If after experiencing the capital you feel more drawn to nature, we recommend our excursion to the famous Danube Valley, located about 80 kilometers from Vienna and home to one of the most beautiful stretches of the river (not included). Would you like to surprise your loved ones at home with a genuine souvenir? Our tip: the Wachau region is famous for its apricot cultivation and the products made from it, from chocolate and liqueur to brandy.
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Hungary. Enjoy the ride on our coach to the capital, Budapest, often called the 'Pearl of the Danube', arriving around lunchtime. In the afternoon we will take a city tour. Budapest is divided into two parts: 'Buda', where the historic center, embassies and residences of high society are located, and 'Pest', where most hotels and shops are found. On the first day we will visit Pest and Heroes’ Square, home to the Millennium Monument with statues of the seven conquerors and their leader Árpád. The tour continues along Andrassy Avenue, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will see the Hungarian State Opera, the House of Terror Museum, the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and the Franz Liszt Memorial Museum. We will also visit the Hungarian Parliament building, an iconic monument on the banks of the Danube. Before heading to the market and pedestrian zone, we will see St. Stephen’s Basilica. After the excursion, we will take you back to the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will walk together through the Castle District of 'Buda', where you will find Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion, which offers probably the most beautiful view of the city. We will then continue to the Royal Palace and take a look at the various bridges connecting the two parts of the city. After the visit, you will have free time.
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, with a brief stop in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, where you will have free time. Once in Prague, we will take you on an unforgettable sightseeing tour through the historic center, showing you the city's most beautiful monuments and its oldest districts. Prague is also home to some of the world’s best beers, with one of the highest brewery densities globally.
Enjoy a varied breakfast at the hotel and prepare for the city visit. The tour begins in the Hradčany Castle District, including St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague Castle and Golden Lane. After walking through the castle courtyards, we will visit the Lesser Town along Nerudova Street with its beautiful houses and old symbols. We will pass St. Nicholas Church and continue to Charles Bridge, one of the oldest bridges in Europe. From there, we will walk along Karlova Street to the Old Town Square with its astronomical clock, the Gothic Church of Our Lady before Tyn, and the monument to Jan Hus. Finally, we will arrive at the New Town.
After breakfast, the day is entirely at your disposal. You may wish to rest and relax. For those who want to know how emperors used to relax, we offer an optional excursion to Karlovy Vary, the classic spa town of the former Austro-Hungarian monarchy (not included). Accommodation in Prague.
During breakfast, you will slowly say goodbye to Prague and look forward to our next destination: Dresden, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, known as the 'Florence of the Elbe'. Highlights include the baroque Zwinger Palace, the Semper Opera and the Hofkirche. After this visit, we continue the journey to Berlin and overnight stay.
After a varied breakfast at the hotel, prepare for the next panoramic city tour, featuring Kurfürstendamm, Unter den Linden, Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, Humboldt University and the Pergamon Museum. At the end of the tour, we offer a boat trip on the Spree River, the best way to admire this wonderful city. In the afternoon, you will have plenty of time to explore the city on your own.
