Arrival in Vienna and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, welcome Austrian dinner at the famous Marchfelderhof restaurant, known for its imperial ambiance. Drinks included.
Panoramic tour of Vienna: Belvedere Palace gardens, Ringstrasse, State Opera, Art and Natural History Museums, Parliament, City Hall, National Theatre and Hofburg. Walk through the historic center, Anchor Clock, Jewish Quarter and interior visit of St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Optional: Schönbrunn Palace or classical concert.
Free day in Vienna. Optional excursion to the Danube Valley, one of the most scenic stretches of the river. Recommendation: apricot-based products from the Wachau region.
Departure to Budapest. Arrival and city tour: Heroes’ Square, Andrassy Avenue, State Opera, Hungarian Parliament, St. Stephen’s Basilica and pedestrian district.
Visit of Buda Castle District: Matthias Church, Fishermen’s Bastion, Royal Palace and panoramic viewpoints. Free afternoon. Suggested local dish: goulash.
Travel to Prague with a brief stop in Bratislava. Arrival and introductory tour of the historic center.
Full tour of Prague: Hradčany Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, Golden Lane, Lesser Town, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with Astronomical Clock, New Town.
Free day in Prague. Optional excursion to Karlovy Vary, the classic spa town of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Departure to Dresden, the 'Florence of the Elbe'. Visit Zwinger, Semper Opera and Hofkirche. Continue to Berlin.
Panoramic tour of Berlin: Kurfürstendamm, Unter den Linden, Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, Humboldt University and Pergamon Museum. Boat ride on the Spree.
Travel to Weimar and continue to Frankfurt. Visit the historic center: Römer, Town Hall, Cathedral, Paulskirche, Goethe House, Alte Oper, financial district, Zeil and museum area. Continue to Rothenburg and then to Heidelberg.
Visit of Heidelberg: old town, town hall, Heiliggeistkirche and timber-framed houses. Visit Heidelberg Castle and its giant wine barrel. Walk along the Old Bridge.
Departure to Strasbourg for panoramic visit, then continue to Freiburg. Accommodation.
Tour of the Black Forest, visit the world’s largest cuckoo clock in Schonach, continue to Lindau on Lake Constance and travel through the Allgäu region. Arrival in Munich.
