Arrival at Ljubljana airport and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. The guide will be available at the hotel from 7:00 p.m.
Breakfast and continuation to Postojna, famous for its stalactite caves. Visit by mining tourist train through the Ballroom and Paradise caves, ending at the impressive Concert Hall. Continue to Bled, known for its iconic lake and postcard-perfect island. Return to Ljubljana and accommodation.
After breakfast, departure toward Zadar, former administrative center of Byzantine Dalmatia. Visit the Roman Forum ruins and the 9th-century Church of St. Donatus. Continue to Split, the main city of Dalmatia. Accommodation.
Breakfast and city tour of Split, developed from the massive palace of Emperor Diocletian. Highlights include the Vestibule, the Peristyle, St. Domnius Cathedral bell tower, and Jupiter’s Temple. Accommodation.
Departure to Dubrovnik along the scenic Dalmatian coast. Visit of the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, including the Franciscan Church, Rector’s Palace, Cathedral, and Dominican Monastery. See Minceta Tower, the largest and best-preserved on the Dubrovnik walls. Accommodation.
Breakfast and free day. Optional excursion to Montenegro visiting its most beautiful towns and villages (not included). Accommodation.
Departure toward Bosnia-Herzegovina with a stop in Medjugorje, a major pilgrimage site. Continue to Mostar to see its famous Old Bridge and medieval streets. Proceed to Sarajevo, known for its religious diversity and as the site of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand (1914). Accommodation.
City tour of Sarajevo including the 17th-century Husfreg Beg Mosque, the 15th-century Bas Carsija bazaar, the Austro-Hungarian quarter, and the Olympic stadium. Free afternoon. Accommodation.
Departure to Zagreb, capital of Croatia. Walking tour through the old town highlighting the Government Palace, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and St. Mark’s Church. Accommodation.
