After breakfast, visit three of the most unusual Buddhist temples in the city. We begin at Wat Traimit, home to the largest solid gold Buddha in the world, measuring almost five meters high and weighing five and a half tons. The excursion continues to Wat Pho, Bangkok’s largest temple, featuring the enormous Reclining Buddha and the Chedis of the Kings. Afterwards, visit the Royal Palace, undoubtedly the most famous monument in the city. Built in 1782, it was for 150 years the residence of the King of Thailand, the royal court, and the administrative seat of the government. The Grand Palace continues to impress visitors with its beautiful architecture and intricate details. Within the complex is Wat Phra Kaew or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Accommodation.
Breakfast and flight to Chiang Rai. The day begins with a visit to Chui Fong, a tea plantation in the hills, where you will enjoy tea-based ice creams and cakes. We will visit the Opium Museum before heading toward the Mae Chan district to discover the villages of the Akha and Yao tribes. The day ends in one of the Karen villages, where we marvel at the Kayan women, known for the rings that adorn their necks—a tradition admired for its cultural significance and unique beauty. After breakfast, enjoy a traditional boat ride along the Kok River, surrounded by lush nature, to visit the Karen tribes in their bamboo huts. The journey continues with a visit to the Blue Temple or Wat Rong Suea Tean, famous for its vibrant color and contemporary art. We will visit the White Temple of Wat Rong Khun and then travel to Chiang Mai. Lunch at a local restaurant and visit to the emblematic Wat Doi Suthep, offering a spectacular panoramic view of the city. Dinner and accommodation in Chiang Mai.
After breakfast, we explore local handicraft factories to learn about traditional production processes. Then we head to the Mae Sa Valley to admire beautiful orchids and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. The experience continues with a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary, where you will have the opportunity to interact with these majestic animals, feed them, and bathe them in an unforgettable encounter. We begin the day with a visit to the Temple of Literature to explore Vietnam’s academic history. We continue to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to learn about the life of this revolutionary leader. We visit the unique One Pillar Pagoda and learn about traditional floral art in an artisanal flower workshop. Finally, we stroll around iconic Hoan Kiem Lake and take a cycle pousse tour through the Old Quarter, one of Hanoi’s most picturesque areas. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.
After breakfast, we head to Halong Bay, one of Asia’s most impressive natural wonders. We board a cruise through the bay, surrounded by islands and islets of unusual shapes. During lunch onboard, you will enjoy the serene landscape and have free time for optional activities such as kayaking, swimming or a Vietnamese cooking demonstration. Dinner and overnight onboard.
At dawn, you may participate in a Tai Chi class on the terrace of the boat. After brunch, we return to the pier and transfer to Hanoi to take the flight to Da Nang, from where we continue to Hoi An. Today we explore the Ancient Quarter of Hoi An, a historic trading port where tradition blends with everyday life. Breakfast and tuk-tuk ride to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. Visit to Bayon Temple, known for its impressive stone-carved faces, and exploration of the temples in the area. Accommodation.
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to a picturesque village near Siem Reap, where we board a boat to explore the impressive Tonle Sap Lake, the largest in Southeast Asia. As we navigate, we discover floating villages, the school and the hospital, showing how life revolves around the water. On the way back, we visit a center that preserves local traditions while training young Cambodians in crafts such as pottery and wood carving. Lunch at a local restaurant, then flight to Bangkok.
