Arrival at Vienna airport and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, welcome Austrian dinner at the Marchfelderhof restaurant. Unique imperial atmosphere reminiscent of Empress Sissi. Drinks included.
Panoramic visit of Vienna: Belvedere Palace gardens, Ringstrasse, State Opera, Art and Natural History Museums, Maria Theresa Monument, Austrian Parliament, City Hall, National Theatre and Hofburg. Walk through the historic center, Anchor Clock and Jewish Quarter. Interior visit of St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Optional visit to Schönbrunn Palace or classical concert.
Free day in Vienna. Optional excursion to the Danube Valley. Recommendation: apricot products from the Wachau region, including chocolate, liqueur and brandy.
Departure to Budapest. Afternoon visit including Pest, Heroes’ Square, Millennium Monument, Andrassy Avenue, State Opera, House of Terror Museum, University of Fine Arts, Franz Liszt Memorial Museum, Hungarian Parliament and St. Stephen’s Basilica.
Walking tour of Buda Castle District: Matthias Church, Fishermen’s Bastion, Royal Palace and bridges over the Danube. Free afternoon. Suggested dish: goulash.
Departure to Prague with a brief stop in Bratislava. Arrival and introductory tour of Prague’s historic center.
Visit of Prague: Hradčany Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, Golden Lane, Lesser Town, Nerudova Street, St. Nicholas Church, Charles Bridge and Old Town Square with Astronomical Clock. End in New Town. Prague is known for glass art, porcelain and marionettes.
Free day in Prague. Optional excursion to Karlovy Vary, a classic spa town of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Departure to Dresden: visit of the Zwinger, Semper Opera and Hofkirche. Continuation to Berlin.
Panoramic tour of Berlin: Kurfürstendamm, Unter den Linden, Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, Humboldt University and Pergamon Museum. Boat ride on the Spree. Free afternoon.
Travel to Frankfurt via Weimar. Brief visit and continuation to Frankfurt. Arrival and accommodation.
Visit of Frankfurt: Römer, Town Hall, Cathedral, Paulskirche, Goethe House, Alte Oper, financial district, European Central Bank, Hauptwache, Zeil Street and museum embankment. Then departure to Rothenburg ob der Tauber and continuation to Heidelberg.
Visit of Heidelberg: old town, historic buildings, Heiliggeistkirche, timber-framed houses, Heidelberg Castle, giant wine barrel and Old Bridge. Free afternoon.
Travel to Strasbourg through the Neckar and Rhine valleys. Panoramic visit and continuation to Freiburg.
Excursion through the Black Forest, visit the world’s largest cuckoo clock in Schonach, continue to Lindau on Lake Constance and then Allgäu region. Arrival in Munich.
Munich panoramic tour: Karlstor, St. Michael’s Church, Marienplatz, Town Hall, Frauenkirche, Opera Square, Feldherrnhalle, Bürgersaalkirche, Royal Residence, St. Peter’s Church and English Garden.
Visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, Linderhof Palace, Oberammergau village and Ettal Abbey. Return to Munich.
Departure to Vienna through the Danube Valley. Walk through Dürnstein and arrival in Vienna.
