You will arrive at Vienna airport and our driver will take you to your hotel. In the evening, you will meet your travel companions at a traditional Austrian welcome dinner at the Marchfelderhof restaurant.
After breakfast, we will take a panoramic tour of Vienna, exploring its main points of interest. We will visit the gardens of the historic Belvedere Palace, former summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy. Then we will continue along Ringstrasse, passing iconic landmarks such as the State Opera, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Natural History, the Maria Theresa Monument, the Austrian Parliament, Vienna City Hall, the National Theatre and the Hofburg. We will stroll through the charming streets of the old town and visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The tour ends at Maria-Theresien-Platz. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a unique experience: an exclusive guided tour of the Augarten Palace and the Vienna Boys' Choir boarding school, learning about their 500-year musical tradition and attending a rehearsal. Afterwards, we will enjoy a glass of sparkling wine before heading to the Muth Theatre for a concert by the choir. Return to the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, the day is free for you to enjoy at your leisure.
After breakfast, we continue our journey to Hungary. Enjoy the ride aboard our coach to Budapest, often called the ‘Pearl of the Danube’. In the afternoon, we will explore the city, visiting Pest: Heroes' Square and the Millennium Monument, Andrassy Avenue—UNESCO World Heritage Site—, the Hungarian State Opera, the House of Terror Museum, the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and the Franz Liszt Memorial Museum. We will also visit the Parliament building and St. Stephen’s Basilica. Return to the hotel.
After breakfast, we will explore the castle district of ‘Buda’, visiting Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion, which offers one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the city. We will then continue to the Royal Palace and observe the bridges connecting Buda and Pest. Free time afterwards. If you wish to try typical Hungarian cuisine, order a traditional ‘goulash’. You won’t regret it!
After breakfast, we travel to Prague with a brief stop in Bratislava for free time. Once in Prague, we will take a sightseeing tour of the historic center, visiting its most beautiful monuments and ancient areas. Did you know? Prague has one of the highest densities of breweries in the world. Cheers.
After breakfast, we begin our visit in the Hradčany Castle district, including St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague Castle and Golden Lane. We then continue to the Lesser Town through Nerudova Street, passing St. Nicholas Church until reaching Charles Bridge. We finish at the Old Town Square, admiring the astronomical clock, the Church of Our Lady before Tyn and the Jan Hus monument. Return to the hotel.
After breakfast, the day is at your leisure. For those who want to relax like the emperors of the past, we offer an optional excursion to Karlovy Vary, the spa town of the former Austro-Hungarian monarchy (not included). Overnight in Prague.
After a final breakfast in Prague, we will take you to the airport, where we will say goodbye.
